What did you do before working at NESS?

After attending a technical high school, I completed a degree in economics.

After graduation, I worked in various companies and industries with a focus on purchasing / internal organisation & controlling / materials management.

Why did you decide to work for NESS?

I was eager to bring my experience to a global company that I thought was already doing well in 2006. I found the industry in which NESS operates very interesting and appealing.

What made this industry and especially the position so appealing to me? I think it was the mix of commercial focus and technical reference.

What is your working day like at NESS? What are your daily tasks?

In a nutshell: broad and varied, both strategically and operationally.

It starts with supplier qualification, through enquiries and orders to complaints processing. At NESS, you need reliable technical know-how, especially in this area.

And it’s not always just about goods for production, but also about services that are needed for the worldwide assembly of the plants. Of course, one always keeps an eye on the business requirements and investments for the individual areas.

What do you like best about your job? What task do you enjoy the most?

The variety and also the personal contact with business partners and suppliers are always very interesting. In my area, you also have lively contact with every department at NESS and are involved in many processes. This makes it possible to work out solutions across departments and, of course, to celebrate success together.

What has been your best moment at NESS?

As already mentioned, you have a lot to do with other departments. Of course, you also get to know some colleagues better and small friendships develop.

Since I’m a big music lover myself, I was lucky to find like-minded people among my colleagues who are also into hard’n heavy. The exchange about music and bands with them is a lot of fun.

What qualities do new work colleagues at NESS need to fit into the work culture?

Since a lot of technical know-how is required here, a certain ability to learn and the enthusiasm necessary for this is an absolute must. Due to the often interdepartmental cooperation, new colleagues should be solution-oriented and able to work in a team.

How do you describe the atmosphere at NESS?

Open, dynamic and collegial.

What makes NESS as an employer special to you?

NESS is family-run and the hierarchies are therefore very flat. Among other things, this means that the lines of communication are very short, communication is direct across all levels, and personal and business development and advancement opportunities are very good.
